A grass fire broke out Thursday morning in Russell County, prompting all fire departments in the county to respond.

Russell County Emergency Manager David Elliott said the fire was reported at 6 a.m. near 203rd and 15th streets, south of Wilson Lake.

Elliott said no structures were damaged and no homes were in immediate danger.

No injuries were reported, and the number of acres burned remains unknown.
