First Care Clinic scores high in annual quality ranking

First Care Clinic was recently recognized as a 2022 Health Center Quality Leader, ranking among the top 10 percent of health centers in the nation for best overall clinical performance. 

First Care Clinic was also named a National Quality Leader for its heart health services, which is given to the top 1 percent to 2 percent of all health centers.

This award is given to health centers that meet goals to prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients. Goals include the use of aspirin when appropriate, blood pressure control, cholesterol management, smoking cessation and prevalence reduction, sodium intake reduction and physical inactivity reduction.

First Care also won awards for being a health disparities reducer, access enhancer and being a patient-centered medical home. 

“Our mission at First Care Clinic is to provide high quality, comprehensive care in an integrative setting,” said Dr. Christine Fisher, medical director. “Our goal is to provide this same level ofcare at our additional location on 22nd street and at our future Express Care Clinic and Pharmacy.”

These awards mark the third consecutive year First Care has been recognized as ranking in the top 10 percent of health centers in the nation for best overall clinical performance.
