Rosalee 'Rose' Brungardt

Rosalee “Rose” Brungardt, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with a Funeral Mass starting at 10:30 AM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9405 Mission Road, Leawood, KS.  Burial in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Rose.  

Rose was born December 13, 1948, in Hays, KS to Joseph and Elizabeth (Wellbrock) Brungardt.  She was a 1966 graduate from Marion High School and attended classes at Fort Hays State University and Johnson County Community College.  She was a computer programmer for Western Auto for over 20 years and later retired from Sprint (Century Link).  She was a member of Cure of Ars Catholic Church.  Rose enjoyed traveling over the years and was an avid photographer.  She photographed her trips and family events and then organized the photographs into beautiful photo albums.  She was known for the numerous different varieties of cookies she made and shared with friends and family at Christmas.  She enjoyed organizing gatherings and spending time with family and friends.  Rose enjoyed breakfast outings with the Western Auto Breakfast Club.  

Rose was preceded in death by her grandparents Balthasar and Rosa (Frank) Brungardt, and John and Anna (Broekelman) Wellbrock; her parents Joseph and Elizabeth (Wellbrock) Brungardt; sister Geraldine “Gerri” Enslinger and brother-in-laws Edward “Eddie” Suppes, Francis Wildeman and John Van Quaethem. 

She is survived by her sisters; Doreen Wildeman, Mae Suppes, Helen Van Quaethem, Mary Brungardt, brother Dale and his wife Thuong Brungardt, brother-in-law; Cornelius “Corny” Enslinger, nieces and nephews; Gloria Rohr and husband Neil, Terry Suppes and wife Marsha, Darrell Enslinger, Rick Suppes, David Suppes and wife Michele, Dennis Enslinger and husband Tom Lore, Troy Wildeman and wife Kim, Dean Enslinger and wife Chelsea, Paul Brungardt, Ronda Van Quaethem and husband Doug Veach, Jennie Brungardt and husband Rodney Rego, Renee Van Quaethem and husband Michael van der Breggen, Tonya Brungardt and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
