GREAT BEND - The Hays High girls' cross country qualified for the 5A state meet Saturday after a third-place finish at the Great Bend regional.
The Indians were led by Arely Maldanado who finished 12th with a time of 20:52.
The Indian boys placed sixth and were led by Leo Hernandez to placed 22nd. Leo Hernandez placed 22nd but was the seventh place finisher among the non-qualifying teams to advance as an individual.
