EMPORIA - Lebo's Brock Hadley only scored three points in Tuesday's 1A Division II state quarterfinal game, but they may have been the most important points of the game. His 3-pointer after an offensive rebound of a missed free throw pushed the Wolves one point lead to four with less than a minute to play and the Wolves beat Victoria 46-40 at White Auditorium.

The Knights (17-10), who were making their first state tournament appearance in 10 years, led 16-15 at halftime and only trailed by one (32-31) entering the fourth quarter but they struggled in the final frame. Victoria made only two of their 10 shots in the final quarter and finished the game 2-for-16 from beyond the arc. Seven of their 19 turnovers came in the fourth quarter.

Sophomore Nick Sander led the Knights with 15 points and seven rebounds. Junior Westen Scherrer added 12 points.

Lebo (20-7) was led by sophomore Gerek Reber and freshman Eli Konrade who both scored 10. Hadley pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. The Wolves extended their winning streak to 12 games. They advance to Thursday's semifinals also in Emporia.
