Hays received .86 inches of rain overnight Tuesday, according to the K-State Ag Research Center.
The Eagle Media Center, 2300 Hall St., received .94 inches of rain.
After a dry first half of the year, Hays is finally catching up in terms of mositure.
Tuesday night's rain put Hays at 3.74 inches of rain for the month of July compared to an average for July of 3.33 inches.
Hays is at 13.39 inches of moisture year to date compared to an average of 14.68 inches by the end of July.
Wednesday's forecast for Hays is partly sunny with a high of 80 degrees.
A 20 percent chance of thunderstorms returns Thursday night. Daytime high is forecast Thursday at 89.
Weekend weather is forecast to be sunny and hot with a high in Hays on Saturday of 101.
