PHILLIPS COUNTY—A Kansas woman died in an accident just after 4p.m. Saturday in Phillips County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Subaru Forester driven by Nancy Dee Vap, 58, Prairie View, was northbound on West 1300 Road just south of West Prairie View Road approximately one mile south of U.S. 36. The SUV traveled off the road into the west ditch, vaulted over a concrete culvert and caught fire.
Vap was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Hugunin Family Funeral Home. The KHP did not have seat belt usage details.
