NW Kan. man, 6-year-old hospitalized after SUV rolls

TREGO COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Tuesday in Trego County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Nissan Rogue driven by Jordan Michael Schneider, 35, Collyer, was entering Interstate 70 one mile east of the Kansas 98 Junction. The driver was distracted by talking to the passenger. The SUV veered off the roadway, hit a guardrail and rolled onto its top facing southeast.

EMS transported Schneider and a 6-year-old female passenger to the Gove County Medical Center. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
