Brian Thomas Mitchell, 52, passed away Nov. 25, 2020, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born July 5, 1968, in McPherson, to Stan and Sharon (Michaelis) Mitchell. Brian married Julie Buehler Oct. 17, 1986, in Great Bend.
Brian, a lifetime resident of Great Bend, had owned and operated Pro-Green Total Lawn Care, Inc., starting the business in 1995. Brian was a member of Grace Community Church, Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed anything motor related; demolition derbies, mud runs and any type of car racing. He especially enjoyed time with his family and friends at the sand dunes.
Survivors include wife; Julie Mitchell, of the home; one son, Dillon Mitchell and wife Ashley, of Great Bend; one grandchild expected in June; father, Stan Mitchell of Garden City; and two brothers, Dr. Darin Mitchell and wife Lisa of Houston and Dr. Alan Mitchell and wife Sherri of Houston. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Sharon.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. David Sidebottom presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29, at Bryant Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Great Bend Cemetery North.
Memorials may be given to the Golden Belt Humane Society or Kans for Kids, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
