THOMAS COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Thursday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Dodge Ram driven by 20-year-old Madeline E Kawnak of Aurora, Colorado, was eastbound on Interstate 70 at the Brewster exit.
The pickup traveled into the south ditch, continued eastbound and traveled off exit 36 over pass. The pickup came to rest on County Road 2 facing east after striking the guard rail.
EMS transported the driver and a passenger William R. Laverty, 21, Langhorne, Pennsylvania, to the hospital in Colby. They were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
