THOMAS COUNTY —Five people were injured in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Monday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Marvin B. Dodd, 83, Smith Center, was eastbound on U.S. 24 just south of Brewster.
The driver failed to stop at a stop sign at County Road 2 and struck a northbound 2009 Chevy Cobalt driven by Clymer, Mackedzie Anya Clymer, 19, Brewster.
The pickup rolled an unknown number of times and came to rest in the northeast ditch. Vehicle 2 came to rest on U.S. 24 facing south.
EMS transported Dodd and a passenger in the Ford Doral Lee Hudson Pillar, 82, Smith Center, to Citizens Medical Center in Colby. EMS transported Clymer and passengers in the Ellie Clymer, 16, and Jacson Nikolai Clymer, 19, both of Brewster to the hospital in Goodland. All five were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
