
A wave of cold weather is expected to sweep into northwest Kansas Thursday evening, bringing with it rain that could turn to snow in some areas.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City also predicted afternoon temperatures 25 degrees below normal on Friday, with a high of just 42 degrees predicted in Hays.
The precipitation is expected to begin Thursday and last in Friday morning, the NWS said.
Skies will begin to clear Friday night into Saturday, with the mercury rising to the high-50s to low-60s by Monday.
