KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's soccer team is ranked No. 12 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, released on Tuesday. FHSU enters postseason play with an overall record of 13-2-3 as it plays host to the GAC/MIAA Tournament this week in Hays.
Fort Hays State has been listed in the top 25 for all 11 releases of the poll this season and in 26 consecutive polls dating back to October 2024, extending the longest streak in program history. The Tigers are the only team from the GAC in the top 25 this week as Rogers State is receiving votes.
The United Soccer Coaches Top 25 has no bearing on the new NCAA NPI rankings. In the fourth Monday release of the NPI rankings (Nov. 3), FHSU was ranked third in Super Region 3. Ten teams will make the Super Regional field for the NCAA Tournament.
Fort Hays State completed a second-straight unbeaten conference regular season slate in 2026, going 11-0-1 to match its conference record from the 2025 season. Fort Hays State became the first school in GAC men's soccer history to navigate a regular season conference schedule unbeaten last year and repeated it this year.
Fort Hays State is now unbeaten in 38-straight matches against Great American Conference teams in the regular season and conference tournament, the second-longest streak in NCAA Division II history. The streak started during the 2024 season (12 matches), continued all through the 2025 season (14 matches), and through the first 12 conference matches this season. The Tigers look to extend the streak this week in the GAC Tournament. Southern Connecticut State has the longest streak in history at 46, accomplished from 1995-2000.
