HAYS - The Hays High girls’ soccer team extended their win streak to six matches Monday. The Indians made quick work of Great Bend, winning 10-0 on the new turf at Hays High School. All of the scoring came in the first half and the match was called by mercy rule.
Arely Maldonado, Katie Dinkel and Dani Willeford all scored two goals. Kinslee Newell, Annie Humphrey, Aspen Melvin and Addie Otte scored the others.
HHS held the Panthers without a shot on goal and have shutout their last two and five of their last six opponents.
The Indians are 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. They host Manhattan Thursday.
