Kyle had a true zest for life. He took advantage of any opportunity to celebrate with those he loved. He even invented a few new holidays of his own that the family celebrates faithfully. Kyle loved to tinker and fix things. He was constantly taking things apart to see what made them work, and then putting them back together. He dedicated countless hours to mentoring his nieces and nephews, teaching them how to work on cars, fix things around the house, and complete various school and 4-H projects.

Survivors include: his mother, Karen Matal (Randy Conrad), and beloved puppy, Sophia, Liebenthal, Kansas; his father, Kevin Diehl, Bison, Kansas; his special friend, Andi Dry, Wellington, Kansas; two sisters, Kristi Reever, Bison, Kansas, and Kayla Diehl (John Meierdierks), Hays, Kansas; his grandmother, Barbara Matal; aunts and uncles; seven nieces and nephews, Ethan, Brooks, Marissa, Payton, Delilah, Brody & Tyr; also two step sisters, Ava North (Travis), McCracken, Kansas, and Ashley Toliver, St. Louis, Missouri; one step brother, Thomas (Ali) Moeder, Wichita, Kansas; his step mother, Cynthia Swan, Haysville, Kansas, and other relatives and friends.
