KSHSAA announces school classifications for 2024-25

TOPEKA - The Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced school classifications for 2024-25.

The classifications take effect immediately and effect all activities except football.

There are no changes in Class 6A or 5A. 

Topeka-Hayden will drop from Class 4A to Class 3A.

Belle Plaine, Garden Plain, Mound City-Jayhawk Linn and Wathena-Riverside are all dropping from Class 3A to Class 2A.

Scott Community is jumping from Class 3A to Class 4A.

Douglass, Leon-Bluestem, Phillipsburg and Rossville are all moving from Class 2A to Class 3A. Highland-Doniphan West, Oswego, Solomon, Sylvan-Lucas Unified, Udall, Wichita-Central Christian Academy and Yates Center are dropping from Class 2A to Class 1A.

Ellis, Howard-West Elk, Lincoln, Meade , Oxford, Sedan and Wichita-the Independent are all dropping from Class 2A to Class 1A.
