INDIANAPOLIS – Fort Hays State enters the final week before NCAA Tournament selections are made holding steady at No. 3 in the NCAA NPI Super Region Rankings. Fort Hays State's national NPI rating continued to rise this past week, but it is still third best among Super Region 3 for the second-straight week.

Fort Hays State held a national NPI ranking of 26 as of the October 26 release of the rankings, but the Tigers have seen their NPI continue to rise this past week with their win over Southern Nazarene coupled with results elsewhere throughout the nation. The Tigers now have a national NPI rank of 21. Lincoln and Saginaw Valley State remain firm in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the Super Region as Lincoln has a national NPI of 6 and Saginaw Valley State has a national NPI of 9.

Conference tournaments this upcoming week will have further effect on the national NPI rankings. Fort Hays State hosts the GAC/MIAA Tournament this week on Thursday (semifinals) and Saturday (championship). The Tigers are looking to solidify a spot in the national tournament, which starts the following week. Last year, Fort Hays State was a national semifinalist in the NCAA for the second time in the program's history. The Tigers were the No. 1 seed in Super Region 3 in 2025 and won all three matches within their Super Region to reach the national semifinals.

The NCAA Power Index, or NPI, is a ranking system used in Division II and Division III to evaluate team performance. NPI considers game results and the strength of opponents to calculate a team's NPI value and ranking. NPI calculations update throughout the season as teams continue to play game and opponent NPI values change. A team's final NPI is not determined until the final games and rankings of the season are complete.

Four of 10 teams selected to the Super Region 3 field of the NCAA Tournament will be automatic selections, which includes conference tournament champions from the GAC, GLVC, GMAC, and GLIAC conferences. The six remaining at-large bids will be determined from the NPI rankings for each Super Region.

Below is the top 12 of the Super Region 3 NPI rankings for November 2, 2026.
