Blanche VonLintel, age 99, of Hays, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society, Hays. She was born July 10, 1921 in Ellis County, Kansas to Andrew and Adeline (Rupp) Rupp. She was married to Ben VonLintel who preceded her in death in 1985.
Blanche was a long time Hair Stylist owning her first salon at the age of 18 and continued her 50 year career until her retirement from Blanche's. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the daughters of Isabella. Blanche had a particular fondness for dogs.
She is survived by two sons, William VonLintel and wife Laura of Hays and John VonLintel and wife Robie of Florida; five grandchildren, Amy and Megan VonLintel, Ben and Nick VonLintel and Jacob VonLintel and wife Joanne of Hays; five great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marq Rupp of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dr. Thomas VonLintel; infant daughter, Gloria VonLintel; a grandson, J.T. VonLintel and brothers, Mike, Francis, Hank and Marvin Rupp.
Family services will be 11:30 AM Friday, October 2, 2020 at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
