The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 52 new COVID-19 cases had been identified in Ellis County from Nov. 6 to Dec. 2.

Nearly all of northwest Kansas, including Ellis County, is in the high-incidence category, the KDHE reported. (See map below). Only Rooks and Rush counties were in the substantial-incidence category.

Since reporting began, there have been 8,203 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County.
