TREGO COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Monday in Trego County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Honda Accord driven by Jose S. Bonilla, 50, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was eastbound on I Road at 240 Avenue one quarter mile west of WaKeeney. The driver began negotiating a curve as the car traveled left off the roadway into the north ditch. The driver overcorrected and traveled back across the roadway and the car rolled into the south ditch.
EMS transported Bonilla to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
