⚽ Second half goal lifts Tiger women past Rangers

ALVA, Okla. – Fort Hays State Women's Soccer ran its win streak to three matches with a 1-0 win at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers posted their second straight shutout and moved to 3-1-2 on the season with the win. NWOSU dropped to 2-3-1 on the season.

Monserrat Diaz of FHSU scored in the 59th minute to put the Tigers into the lead. A free kick into the box created chaos in front of the net and the Tigers cashed in with the game's only score.

Fort Hays State had 12 shots compared to just nine for NWOSU. FHSU placed seven of its 12 shots on goal. Mackenzie Caldwell made four saves in goal for the Tigers.

The Tigers begin conference play next Friday at Missouri Southern.
