SALINA - The Hays High boys golf team shot a 333 and finished in third place at the Salina South Invitational Friday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.

Ashton Bickle shot a 7-over-par 79 and finished in sixth place. Landon Clark tied for 11th with an 82 and Caleb Thompson shot an 85 and finished in 17th place.

Emporia won the team title with a 322, eight shots better than McPherson and 11 ahead of the Indians.

The Spartans Caden Massey was the top medalists with a 1-under-par 71.
