HAYS, Kan. - Due to poor road conditions and more winter weather in the forecast over the weekend in Colorado, the Fort Hays State men's wrestling team has adjusted its schedule for this weekend. Instead of competing at the Western Colorado Open and the Tracy Borah Duals in Gunnison, Colo., the Tigers will now head to Hastings, Neb. for the Hastings Open.

Fort Hays State has sent redshirts and reserves to this event each of the last two years, but this is the first time the Tigers will send a full team to Hastings since January 2011 when they came home with two championships (133 - Aldon Isenberg, 285 - Justin Glenn) and six placers. The Tigers had a pair of placers at last year's event, with Jaxson Thomas finishing third at 285 pounds and Connor Padgett placing fourth at 174 pounds while Ryan Patterson finished fourth at 197 pounds in 2023.
