A resurfacing project is underway on a portion of K-25 in Thomas and Logan counties.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project involves milling and overlaying on a 12-mile portion of the highway starting at the U.S. 40 junction and ending near County Road I. Construction crews will also patch areas of pavement between County Road I and the south city limits of Colby.

Traffic through the areas where crews are actively working will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should plan for delays of 15 minutes or less during daylight hours.  KDOT expects work to be complete in early November, conditions permitting.

Bettis Asphalt and Construction, of Topeka, is the primary contractor for the $2.1 million project. For more information, contact KDOT Area Construction Manager Todd Anderson at 785-953-6011 or [email protected].
