Roy Chatham Jr., 98, of Osborne, KS, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Parkview Care Center of Osborne, KS. On December 1, 1922, he was born to Roy & Edith (Lane) Chatham at Luray, KS. When Roy was a young boy, his parents moved their family to a farm northeast of Luray, in the Cheyenne Community where he farmed and ranched from 1947 until April, 2012.
Roy attended Potterville School through the 8th grade and graduated from Osborne High School with the Class of 1942. During WWII, he was stationed in Panama as a Marine CPL.
On August 24, 1946, Roy married Margaret Evelyn Fenton.
Roy is survived by his wife, Margaret, of 74 years; daughters: Karen (Patrick) Call of Newton, KS; Rita (William) Blauvelt, of Superior, NE; sisters: Naomi Copeland of Topeka, KS; Virginia True of Holt, MO; 1 grandson: Garrett (Sarah) Call; 3 great-grandchildren.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Randall; 7 sisters: Wilma, Letha, Velma, Eulah, Stella, Nadine & Izora.
