The Ellis girls track team won the Oberlin 1A Regional Thursday. It's their third-straight regional title.
Natalee North had another impressive day by breaking her school record in the shot put by over 2 feet. The new record is 42' 7". The regional champions on the day were Natalee North in the shot and discus, Avery Boydston in the 1600 and 3200, Isabella Eck in the high jump, and Evelyn Merriman in the 200.
Second place medalists were Aron Bencze in the shot put, Evelyn Merriman in the 100, and Avery Boydston in the 800.
Third place medalists were Aron Bencze in the discus and the girls' 4 x 100 team of Addison Kohl, Isabella Eck, Sienna Schmidt, and Evelyn Merriman.
All of these athletes punched their ticket to compete next week at the state track and field meet as did Sienna Schmidt in the long jump.
