Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Ellis County celebrates success at Bowl For Kids’ Sake

Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Ellis County recently celebrated the incredible success of its 27th annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake event.

Community members came together in a big way, with 30 teams participating and raising funds to support one-to-one mentorship for local youth. Along with the tremendous support of sponsors, the event raised $66,000!

This year’s top fundraising business and winner of the coveted traveling trophy was again High Plains Farm Credit raising $7,160!

Held at Centennial Lanes on May 6, Bowl For Kids’ Sake brought together businesses and organizations for an evening of fun, teamwork, and community impact. Funds raised through the event help Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters continue providing meaningful mentoring relationships that truly change young lives for the better throughout Ellis County.

Businesses and organizations who helped raise funds and celebrated together at the event include: Bank of Hays, Eagle Media, Insurance Planning, Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Hays State University, FHSU Criminal Justice Club, FHSU Leadership 310, FHSU Sigma Phi Epsilon, First Care Clinic, First Care Pharmacy, First United Methodist Church, Hays Fire Department, Hays Middle School, Hays Police Department, Herrman Physical Therapy & Wellness, High Plains Farm Credit, High Plains Mental Health Center, KSBBBS Staff, Nex-Tech, Sunflower Bank, and Vyve Broadband.
