There are currently nine active cases in Ellis County.

As of Monday, the University of Kansas Health System reported one active COVID-19 patient at HaysMed. There was one active hospitalization of an Ellis County resident.

The seven-day average of percent of positive tests rose slightly to 1.3 percent.

Last week, Ellis County Health Services Director Jason Kennedy also said that, beginning April 1, his department would no longer be issuing regular updates to the county COVID-19 dashboard.

"Due to the consistency and depth of information available on the KDHE website, the ECHD will no longer be separately reporting numbers of COVID-19 cases," he said Friday. "We encourage everyone to access the information on the KDHE Dashboard.

Since reporting began, there have been 3,720 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 73 coronavirus-related deaths.

NOTE:
"New cases" reflects cases reported by the Ellis County Health Department between regular reporting periods of Monday, Wednesday and Friday. "Total cases" reflects all cases reported by the department. Because of delayed test results, total cases might include cases prior to the previous reporting period, so KDHE figures might not necessarily correspond.
