The Eagle Radio family of stations in Hays was honored with six awards in the Kansas Association of Broadcasters honors during a ceremony Monday in Overland Park
Among the awards was first place for excellence in multimedia/digital storytelling won by the team of Cristina Janney, Jordan Schaffer, Becky Kiser.
Drought doubles disaster as Four County ranchers struggle to recover year after wildfire told the story of the anniversary of the four-county fire and the challenges of ranchers to rebuild after the tragedy.
The project included a story on the Hays Post that included a compilation of trail camera video of the fire as well as coverage on the five stations Eagle manages in Hays.
