Rural Long Island resident Charlene K. Ross passed away Jan. 31, 
2022, at her home at the age of 74.&nbsp; She was born July 17, 1947, in Harlan
 County, NE, the daughter of Charles &amp; Dorothy (Petitjean) Gehrig.

Survivors include her husband Keith of the home; her son Doug of Long
 Island; 3 daughters: Monica Cole of Long Island, Staci Montgomery of 
Almena &amp; Melissa McClain of Long Island; 2 sisters, Donna Blum of 
Mesa, AZ &amp; Libby Miller of Plainville; 10 grandchildren &amp; 5 
great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Long
 Island United Methodist Church with Pastor Ted Stapleton &amp; Jeff 
Miller officiating.&nbsp; The service will be streamed live on the 
Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the 
Long Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 Wed. &amp; 9:00 to 4:00 
Thursday at the funeral home.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 6:00
 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Long Island United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Long Island Library or to Phillips County Home Health.
