David Lynn Johnson, 62, passed away on May 23rd at the Goodland Regional Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was a man known for his unwavering love for the great outdoors and his fascination with technology. David's legacy as an adventurer and electronics aficionado will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
David was preceded in death by his father Larry, who instilled in him a love for the outdoors.
Born on March 22, 1961, in Lindsborg, KS, David's life was defined by his deep connection with nature. He found solace and joy in exploring the wonders of the world around him. Whether it was traversing rugged terrains, kayaking on peaceful waters, or stargazing under the night sky, he embraced the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors. David's passion for the natural world was infectious, and he shared countless unforgettable moments with family and friends during outdoor expeditions.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, David possessed a keen intellect and an insatiable curiosity for technology. He was an early adopter, always on the forefront of the latest advancements in the digital realm. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. MT on June 9, 2023 at the Goodland Cemetery to celebrate David Johnson's life and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Goodland Public Library, as a tribute to David's passions and the causes dear to his heart and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
