INDIANAPOLIS – Fort Hays State is ranked No. 12 in Super Region 3 in the latest edition of the NCAA Super Region rankings, released on November 6, 2024. Ten teams from the Super Region will be selected to the NCAA Tournament, which begins in a couple of weeks following conference tournaments.
Four of the ten teams selected to the Super Region 3 field of the NCAA Tournament will be automatic selections, which includes conference tournament champions from the GAC, GLVC, GMAC, and GLIAC conferences. Fort Hays State is already a lock to play in the GAC Tournament, which will be held Thursday and Saturday (Nov. 14 and 16) by the highest seed in the four-team tournament field.
According to the Super Region 3 PDF found at the bottom of the region rankings on NCAA.com, Fort Hays State has the 10th-best performance indicator and 11th-best RPI in Super Region 3. Saginaw Valley State leads the way with the super region's top RPI and performance indicator. Fort Hays State (No. 12), Southern Nazarene (No. 8), and Rogers State (No. 9) represent the GAC in the rankings.
One more edition of the Super Region rankings will be released next Wednesday before selections for the national tournament will be made following conference tournaments.
