The Ellis County Health Department on Monday reported the average number of new coronavirus cases per day in the last seven days remained at one — with just one new case of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County since Friday.

There are currently 14 active cases, including one active hospitalization of an Ellis County resident, and 3,700 recovered cases.
As of Monday, there were four COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, two in the active phase and two in recovery.
The seven-day average of percent of positive tests fell slightly to 3.1 percent.
Since reporting began, there have been 3,714 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 73 coronavirus-related deaths.
Of the total 26,063 tests administered, 13.2 percent have returned positive for COVID-19.
