Daniel Lynn “Danny” Casper, 76, Hays, died Saturday, March 11, 2023, at HaysMed.
He was born March 11, 1947, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Donald and Edna Jane (Bailey) Casper. Danny graduated from Hays High School in 1965. On January 21, 1967, he was united in marriage to Harriette Powell in Hays, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Danny was a casino cage worker in Las Vegas, Nevada, retiring in 2006. He was a sports fan and enjoyed playing Blackjack and pool.
Survivors include his wife Harriette of the home, two sons, Jason Casper and wife Alina of Hays and Joseph Casper and wife Beth of Bend, OR, a daughter, Jessica Krutka of Las Vegas, NV, two brothers, Jeff Casper and wife Carolyn of Brownell and Tom Casper and wife Debbie of Hays, a sister, Diane Dreiling and husband Larry of Medicine Lodge, five grandchildren, Aaron Casper, Addison Casper, Alexandria Casper, Samantha Casper, and David Krutka, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kelly Casper.
No funeral services are planned, and arrangements are in the care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
