
Duane Daniel Falley age 62, of Victoria, Kansas, died Saturday, February14, 2026, on his farm at Melvern, Kansas in Osage County, where he and his wife, Linda planned to retire.
He was born February 22, 1963, in Quinter, Kansas, to Warren D. and Patricia Rose (Younger) Falley. He married Lynda (Howard) on July 31, 1999, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria, Kansas. The couple would share over 26 years of loving marriage.
He received a Lucky High School diploma and graduated from Manhattan Area Technical College. Duane and Linda moved to Victoria, KS in 1998.
Duane worked as a welder for the Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years before retiring. He loved being outside and was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He also had a passion for gardening. He will be remembered for being a hard worker and very loyal.
Duane also was a huge sports fan, often watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State University football games. He also frequented NASCAR events, and he was overjoyed when he met Dale Earnhardt Sr. Duane was also a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Most of all, Duane had a heart of gold and was protective of his loved ones, especially his grandkids.
During his life he belonged to both Hays and Lyndon Lions Clubs, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of The Basilica of Saint Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Falley; one step daughter, Shelley Kimball of Holden, MO; one sister, Diane Overton; one niece, Nicole Ferrell; six grandsons, Hunter McCullough and Lance McCullough of Manhattan, KS; Dylan Kimball, Lane Kimball, Ethan Kimball, and Tristan Kimball of Richmond, KS; and a great grandchild, Macey Jude McCullough.
He was preceded in death by twin sons, Daniel and Samuel Falley; his parents, Warren and Patricia (Younger) Falley; and his grandparents, Michael and Mary Ann (Augustine) Younger; and Daniel and Dorothy (Wilcox) Falley; and in-laws, Patrick and Janet (Edwards) Howard.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home in Ottawa, Kansas. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Highland, Kansas.
A vigil and Victoria, Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
