William 'Bill' G. Schultze

William “Bill” G. Schultze, age 68, was born on February 1, 1954, to Rex and Rita (Clark) Schultze in Russell, KS. He passed away on August 5, 2022, at the Osborne County Memorial Hospital. Bill was one of the last classes to attend Covert Grade School and then graduated from Osborne High School in 1972.

After graduation, he attended Goodland VoTech and graduated from the diesel mechanic program with his Associates degree. On September 8, 1973, he was united in marriage to Beth (Mayes) Schultze and to this union five children were born. Amy Elizabeth, Angela Kay, Eric William, Bryan Charles and Tyler Reginald. They raised their family in rural Paradise, KS until 1991 when they moved to the family farm south of Osborne.

Bill spent his life farming, ranching and attending every event possible of his kids and grandkids and never hesitating to help Beth with any of their many projects. In earlier years he enjoyed team penning with his family and close friends. A favorite memory of his was when he won the Osborne County Ranch Rodeo with his sons. He enjoyed coyote hunting on Sundays throughout the winter months. Bill spent many hours hunting pheasants and elk.

On his many adventures, he was always looking for Hesston belt buckles to complete his collections to pass onto his children and grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reginald and Mildred Schultze and Father in law, Doyle Sackhoff. Bill is survived by his wife, Beth of the home, his parents Rex and Rita Schultze of Osborne, mother in law JoAnn (Arden) Putnam of Downs, KS, sister Connie (Kim) Moore of Osborne. His 5 children, Amy (Brandon) Miller of Phillipsburg, Angie (Jerrad) Goheen of Osborne, Eric (Lindy) Schultze of Osborne, Bryan (Amanda) Schultze of Osborne, Tyler (Chelsea) Schultze of Osborne. Bill has 13 grandkids who he loved endlessly, Austin, Ethan, and Owen Miller, Connor, Nathan, and Lexi Goheen, Reata, Rory and Raleigh Schultze, Reece and Ashlyn Schultze, and Coy and Tru Schultze. He was surrounded and loved by a large extended family. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him very much.
