TREGO COUNTY —Law Enforcement in Trego County believe a suspect who ran from vehicle during a pursuit is no longer in the area and there is no immediate danger to the public.
Just after 11p .m. Sunday the WaKeeney Police Deparatment issued an alert for the residents of the county on social media.
"Earlier this evening law enforcement officers were engaged in a pursuit." "The wanted individual fled his vehicle on foot 2 miles south of WaKeeney." Individual is believed to be armed and dangerous. All residents are encouraged to lock their homes and vehicles and report any suspicious activity."
"Suspect is believed to be a black male. If you have any information contact 911 immediately. Again the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, Do Not approach and contact law enforcement."
