TOPEKA – District champion TMP-Marian will host Beloit in the first-round of the Class 2A playoffs Friday at 7:00 pm at Lewis Field. The Monarchs (7-1) won their seventh straight Friday in Lakin to capture the district title.
Beloit (2-6) lost 26-60 at Hoisington Friday and has lost four straight.
The winner will play the winner between Phillipsburg and Lakin.
Ellis (3-5) travels to Hoisington for their first-round game Friday. The Railers (3-5) lost 39-0 to Cimarron to close out the regular season but have won two of their last three.
The Cardinals are 8-0.
