Dale Martin Crow, 73, Hays, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at his home.
Dale was born on October 25, 1952, in Hays, Kansas, to Harry M. and Paulina (Dreiling) Crow. He was known for this wacky humor and easygoing nature. His mornings usually started with, 'I'm living in paradise and can't wait to see what today brings!' All who knew him heard his 'caw-caw' on many occasions.
He appreciated the simple things, valued family, and had a way of making people feel special. He enjoyed spending time with family when he could and proudly referred to his great nephews as the 'World Famous Cario Twins.'
Dale is survived by his sister Mary Lynn Pierce, nephew Henry F. Pierce V, niece Michelle L. Cario and husband Sam, and great nephews Alec G. Cario and Sebastian A. Cario. Also close to his heart his entire life, was his 'adopted' Toepfer family and dear best friend, Philip Toepfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Henry F. Pierce IV.
Dale will be missed and talked about with a smile by those who knew and loved him!
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. A private burial will be the following morning in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the ARC of Central Plains or to the Comeau Catholic Campus Center, and condolences and memories of Dale may be left for his family at www.haysmemorial.com
