WICHITA, Kan. — The National Baseball Congress announced its 2025 NBC World Series All-Tournament team Wednesday and several Hays Larks were honored.
Pitchers Simon Lunsford and Julio Ramos were named NBC World Series All-Americans. Lunsford finished the tournament with a 1-0 record and did not give up an earned run while striking out nine in 6 2/3 innings. Ramos had 12 strikeouts over 9 1/3 innings and a 0.96 ERA.
The Larks finished 4-1 in the tournament, losing to the Lonestar (TX) Kraken in the semifinals.
The Hutchinson Monarchs, who blasted the Lonestar Kraken (Texas) 21-4 in the Aug. 2 championship game at Riverfront Stadium, had four players honored.
