HAYS - Hays High scored a goal in each half Tuesday to earn a 2-0 shutout of Liberal in Western Athletic Conference action in Hays.
HHS senior Ivan Maldonado scored early in the game for his 19th goal of the season, while sophomore teammate Mason Shadley added another goal in the second half.
The win helped earn redemption for Hays High, which endured a scoreless double overtime draw with Liberal earlier this month.
The Indians (8-3-2 overall, 3-2-1 WAC) will travel to Garden City Thursday for another WAC game.
