Barney M. Northern, 63, Ellis, died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at HaysMed.

He was born August 11, 1959, in San 
Diego, California, the son of Jack and Fay (Cordes) Northern.&nbsp; On July 
24, 1982, he was united in marriage to Patricia Dixon in Riverside, 
California, and they were married over 40 years. Before moving to Kansas
 in 2011, Barney and Patricia lived in California where Barney worked as
 a correctional officer until his retirement.&nbsp; He was a Nascar fan and 
enjoyed trips to Las Vegas.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of 
Ellis, three sisters, Sharon Northern of San Antonio, TX, Becky Bashaw 
and husband Joel of San Jacinto, CA, and Jackie Northern of Riverside, 
CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

No funeral services are planned, and 
arrangements are in the care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral 
Home.&nbsp;
