⚾ Larks outhit A's but fall to Dodge City

HAYS - Despite outhitting Dodge City, the Hays Larks came up on the short end of a 4-2 score Saturday night at Larks Park. The Larks had nine hits, four of them for extra bases but strand 17 baserunners including leaving the bases loaded twice without scoring.

After the A's scored single runs in the first and second innings, the Larks (13-5) scored twice in the third to tie the game. Tanner Rice drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly and Austen Jaslove the second on a single to center field.

Dodge City (9-9) added single runs in the fifth and sixth to retake the lead. The Larks loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth then again the sixth with two outs but failed to score.

Kam Walton (1-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits over two innings and suffered the loss.

Austen Jaslove had four of the Larks nine hits. Tyler LaRue added three hits including a pair of doubles.
