ALTON—Midway Coop is pleased to announce the promotion of Dustin Byler to Branch Manager of the Alton Elevator.
Byler has been with Midway Coop since July 2022, serving as an applicator and building strong relationships with customers throughout the area. In 2025 alone, he covered more than 50,000 acres as an applicator while continuing to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to Midway customers. His promotion follows a difficult season for the Alton branch after the illness and passing of longtime Branch Manager Eric Stanton,
“We are incredibly proud of the entire Alton team for the way they came together during a challenging season,” said Craig Mans, General Manager. “Their commitment to each other, our customers, and the community never wavered. Dustin played an important role in that effort, and we are excited to see him lead the Alton branch forward.”
“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue helping carry on the legacy of Midway’s Alton Elevator,” said Byler. “Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to build relationships with customers throughout the area, and I really appreciate the tight-knit community around Alton. Everyone has always made my family and me feel welcome, and I’ve appreciated the encouragement and support from so many people as I get ready to transition into this new role.”
Byler also shared that his experience working directly with customers in the field should help him with the transition into leadership. “My time as an applicator allowed me to get to know many of the customers the Alton elevator serves, so I already have a solid foundation and understanding of the area and the people we work with every day,” he said.
Dustin and his wife, Christina, have been part of the Alton area community since 2019, and he previously lived in the area from 2014 to 2017. Together, they have five children who stay active in school and community activities throughout the year. Christina currently works at the Osborne Elementary School and will transition into a 1st grade classroom teaching position next school year.
Midway Coop is excited for the continued stability, leadership, and community commitment Dustin will bring to the Alton branch.
