Posted Dec 01, 2020 11:13 AM

The Hays Arts Council proudly announces the 37th annual Five State Photography Exhibition Dec. 5 through Feb. 12.

This year photographers submitted unframed 8x10 inch photographs in the categories of Nature, People and Open.

453 photographs were entered from Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado.

150 of those images were selected for exhibition by juror Charlie Riedel, a Hays native, who also determined cash awards totaling $1,500. The accepted photographs will be framed for exhibition.

Project expenses are supported by our sponsors: Midwest Energy, Bank of Hays, and Eagle Communications.

Due to current restrictions, we are unable to host our traditional Winter Art Walk reception.

To open the 37th Annual Five State Photography Exhibition, the Hays Arts Council invites you to our HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During those hours, we are also hosting exhibitions in the HAC Annex (1010 Main) including the FHSU Senior Exhibition of Tristan Smith and paintings by Matthew Miller and Amy Warfield.

During the Open House, HAC Members will receive a 15% discount on Gift Gallery purchases.

In keeping with the local mandate, facemasks are required.
