RUSSELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Tuesday in Russell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 1997 Toyota Tacoma driven by Carlos Hernandez, 70, Aurora, Colorado, was stopped eastbound on Interstate 70 two miles east of the Russell exit. The driver pulled the SUV towing a Honda CRV into the driving lane.
A 2012 Honda Accord driven by Drake A. Wick, 24, Clive, Iowa, struck the Honda CRV. After impact, all three vehicles entered the median.
EMS transported Hernandez to the hospital in Russell. Wick was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
