HESSTON - The Hays High boys cross country team placed fifth and the girls seventh at the Swather Special hosted by Hesston High School Thursday at the Hesston Golf Course.

Individual results were kept by class. Camdyn Cooper finished 23rd among the senior boys with a time of 23:01.70. Malichi Chance finished 13th among the juniors (20:23.10), Logan Leiker was third among sophomores (18:50.60) and Bladyn Werth fifth among freshman (19:55.00)
In the girls race, Anne Wintch placed 18th among the seniors (32:10.10), Ava Briggs was 10th in the junior race (29:29.50), Jayliegh Weilert placed 14th among the sophomores (29:57.80) and Madelyn Wilkins finished eight with the freshman (24:45.0).
