BUNKER HILL – The Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Logan, has awarded Smoky Hills PBS with a grant to help support the station’s educational mission. These funds will help with the following:
· Produce local programs like Doctors on Call, The Kansas Legislature, Real Ag, sports programs featuring high school athletes in northwest Kansas, and special events of interest to viewers in northwest Kansas.
· Children’s educational programs from PBS KIDS, broadcasting over 60 commercial-free hours each week, and at least 168 weekly hours on our PBS Kids channel.
· Broadcast educational programs for teens and adults, focusing on current events, science, history, and culture.
· Provide books to children enrolled in Early Head Start and Head Start.

We feel honored that we are one of many recipients of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation as these funds we receive help to educate thousands of people, of all ages, within central and western Kansas.”
