LANE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Sunday in Lane County.
The Lane County Sheriff reported a 54 year old man from Kentucky had been riding in a group of seven riders westbound on Kansas 96 near Turkey Road when his motorcycle left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The rider was thrown from the bike and suffered serious injuries. He was transported from the scene by Lane County EMS to the Lane County Hospital in Dighton for treatment.
No other riders in the group were involved and the crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff's office did not release the man's name or additional details.
