The Hays USD 489 kindergarten roundup is set for Monday, March 1.

Due to COVID, attendance is limited to only parents of incoming kindergarten students who do not currently have a sibling attending one of the four USD 489 elementary schools.

The event will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Hays High School Gymnasium, 2300 E. 13th St.

Eligibility for kindergarten - Student must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2021.

If you have a child who is eligible to attend kindergarten in fall 2021 and you do not currently have a child attending one of the four USD 489 elementary schools, please plan to attend our USD 489 Kindergarten Round-up.

This is a parents only informational meeting.

A kindergarten pre-enrollment form must be completed for each incoming kindergarten student.

These forms will be mailed to families who have incoming kindergarten students attending one of the district elementary schools, and they will be made available for other families the night of round up.

On the form, you will be asked to fill out and rank the four elementary schools in the order you prefer your child to attend. 

Efforts will be made to place your child in the school of your first choice, but there may be a chance your child will be placed at another school due to limits on class sizes.

Preference will be given to those who have siblings currently enrolled in a district elementary school.

Pre-enrollment forms for all incoming kindergarten students must be returned to the USD 489 Board Office no later than Friday, March 19 for first choice to be considered.

Parents will be notified of their child's school assignment by the end of April.

Again, preference will be given to those who have siblings currently enrolled in a district elementary school.

Round-up information will be made available for those who choose not to attend due to COVID and/or for those parents who have children currently attending Lincoln, O'Loughlin, Roosevelt, or Wilson.

Hays USD 489 kindergarten roundup set for March 1

An accidental gunshot in a Hays apartment building recently led to an arrest that included drug- and firearm-related charges.

At approximately 12:36 a.m. Feb. 18, Hays Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West 27th St. on the report of a shot having been fired into an apartment, according to Police Chief Don Scheibler.

The victim was reportedly sleeping when the bullet struck a television. and went into the wall.

After investigating the scene officers discovered the bullet had come from a neighboring apartment, home to Austin James Rozean, 23.

"He had been manipulating an AR-15 rifle when the rifle accidentally discharged, going through the window and into the next wall," Scheibler said.

Due to the incident, a search warrant was obtained for the apartment.

"Weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located inside the apartment," Scheibler said.

In all, three rifles were found in the apartment along with a "large" amount of ammunition, methamphetamine and marijuana, he said.

He said charges are pending for criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal discharge of a firearm.

He is on the board of directors for the Hays Recreation Commission, he coaches several kids sports teams in the Hays area, he is active in Hays High activities and has also done emcee work for the Hays High School awards nights," said Todd Lynd, Eagle Radio of Hays general manager. "Dustin makes a difference for the station and our community and continues to follow the example set by our founder Bob Schmidt of keeping 'Our Community Connected.' ”

Gary Shorman, Eagle chairman of the board and chairman of the Schmidt Foundation, echoed those statements.

"It is gratifying to see Bob's legacy continue among our employee-owners, and Dustin is more than deserving of this honor," he said. "His willingness to offer his time and talents to so many in the community embodies what the Bob Schmidt Community Service Award stands for."

Eagle's Armbruster earns Bob Schmidt Community Service Award

The Hays USD 489 school board accepted donations Monday night to build two new soccer fields at Hays High School.

Superintendent Ron Wilson said the gifts were the equivalent of $60,000 to $80,000 in donations.

Silas Hibbs, HHS soccer coach, presented the proposal to the school board. Also on hand were members of the HHS boys soccer team.

Hibbs said all the work on the fields have been committed for the project.

HHS currently has one soccer field. It's used both as a practice and game field and by both girls and boys soccer for JV and varsity play. 

The program has about 80 students involved across the boys and girls teams. The boys play in the fall, and the girls play in the spring. In addition, the field is used for summer programs for all ages.&nbsp;

"As you can imagine, there is a lot of wear and tear if we are not very careful or good stewards of our facility," he said.

The soccer program has donations committed for dirt work, trenching, irrigation, landscaping, soccer backstops and grass seed.&nbsp;

The donors at this time have said they wish to remain anonymous.

Hibbs presented several alternatives for the locations for the two new fields.

One of the fields would be a practice field. The other would be a designated game field.

Hibbs noted Hays does not have a practice-only, soccer-dedicated field in Hays.

"This is something that the soccer community has realized," Hibbs said. "They see the value. They want that. This is important to us."

The location on HHS' campus also means students would not have to drive across town for practice.

Hibbs said he hoped there could be learning experiences for students in building and maintaining the fields in the areas of business as well as landscaping and conservation.

Work on the fields will begin immediately, with the hope the fields will be ready for the fall 2021 soccer season.

Board member Lance Bickle expressed concern about the availability of water for the fields. The district has several wells in the area.

Bermuda grass has been chosen for the fields because of its drought hardiness.&nbsp;

Wilson said the district has the capacity to water the fields at this time. In the case of a drought, the district would have to do its best to keep the grass alive with the water available.

The alternative would be to install a turf field at the high school, but the district does not have the funds at this time to do so.

Board member Allen Park asked how the field would fit into the district's strategic plan.

Wilson said the new soccer fields would not preclude the addition of a new softball field, which has been on the district's wish list. However, funding is not available to build a softball facility at this time.

Board member Tammy Wellbrock, who was participating in the meeting via Zoom, said, "I realize this may cause some changes to our overall strategic planning with a softball field, but I strongly feel and encourage the rest of the board to support this donated effort.

"It still fits within our overall goals to provide quality offerings to our students. This is an opportunity we can't afford to pass up."

Park also asked about maintenance. Wilson said maintenance would be minimal. There would be additional mowing, but the district is also no longer mowing at the former Washington or Munjor schools.

Park was the lone vote against the project because he said he did not have enough time to consider the project.

The district also approved the installation of a new volleyball net system in HHS' gym B.

Part of the funds for the $31,000 project came from capital improvement funds. The rest of the money came from HHS-specific building funds.

This will allow Hays High to be eligible to host sub-state competitions.

USD 489 board accepts donations for two new HHS soccer fields

As the month of February progresses, so does our United Way Campus Campaign at Fort Hays State University. We have had one successful food truck Fridays with Smokin Co. BBQ and a birthday challenge. Since I turned 60 earlier this month, staff thought it would be fun to offer a challenge: Anyone who donates $60 or more to the United Way Campus Campaign will be eligible to win a prize from local businesses.

Speaking of advancing the common good, let me highlight just a few of our campus colleagues who responded when we asked, “What’s Your United Way Story?”

Jason Williby, president and CEO of the FHSU Foundation, has been a proud American Red Cross blood donor since his days as a Fort Hays State undergraduate. He has a vivid recollection of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp), walking all new members to the blood drive at the Memorial Union. “As new members, we were all encouraged to donate at the same time as a team-building experience. Giving blood is such an easy way to give back to the community. In giving just one hour of your time, a donor can help save up to three lives. I am proud to have donated 65 times since 1994.”

FHSU senior Audra Boerger, a marketing major from McPherson and a VIP Ambassador on campus, worked for Options Domestic and Sexual Violence Services through FHSU and Dane G. Hansen’s internship program last summer. Boerger said she was moved by her experience at Options, a United Way-supported agency. “After my program was over, I found a passion in helping survivors find the resources that they need and aiding them through their healing journey. Through the volunteer work I have done; I feel like I make an impact in a way that I cannot even begin to comprehend. The survivors are the ones who are important, and my job is to make them feel that way.”

Over the years, several of our students have really enjoyed their service with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Ellis County. One of those current volunteers is Amari Angram-Boldin, a senior Tiger football player from Pahokee, Fla. He said that he can identify with some of the children in the program after growing up the oldest of three children in a one-parent household. “When I considered volunteering, I instantly thought about how badly I wanted a big brother as a role model growing up. I look at it as an opportunity to pay back and make an impact in a kid’s life, because I know how happy it made me when older guys would take me under their wings when I was a child.”

Amy Schaffer, FHSU’s compliance officer, volunteers as a board member for the United Way because she has seen how the organization brings people, agencies and donations together to make the biggest impact. “I have always worked in jobs where I assist people going through difficult situations and often, I would connect them to a United Way agency to get additional support. I saw how the United Way partner agencies helped provide resources to help the person move forward, whether it was shelter, food, mentoring services or financial assistance. Since I joined the board, I have also seen how the United Way brings resources together to help bring positive changes to our community.”

Through its core grief support groups, the Center for Life Experience, Inc. (CFLE) provides peer-to-peer support for individuals dealing with loss. Thanks to funding from individuals and organizations such as the United Way, CFLE continues to work for hope and healing within our community. Dawne Leiker, an academic advisor in the Department of Informatics, serves as president of the executive board of CFLE. “I’m very grateful for the investment that United Way has made in our organization. It has helped us transition to a community-based 501c3, where we can be more responsive to our community’s needs. Peer-to-peer grief support is now so very critical, as many people are facing devastating losses throughout the pandemic. Thanks to United Way for supporting our mission!”

Janette Meis, communications specialist in the Office of the President, first became involved with the United Way in the late ’90s when she was the director of CASA of the High Plains, a member agency. “Since then I have been a long-time donor and now am involved with the Wonder Women League (WWL), which operates under the United Way. The WWL celebrates the power of women in this community who give not only money, but time and service for others. I’m proud to be associated with so many wonderful women and the work that we do.”

Justin Greenleaf, associate professor of leadership studies, volunteers for the United Way because the organization works for the common good of our community. “The United Way is able to address problems facing Ellis County in ways that I would not be able to alone. Through a systems-level approach, they provide support where it is needed most.”

FHSU junior Kellyn Wahlmeier, a communication sciences and disorders major from Colby and a VIP Ambassador , shared that she was surprised by how much she gained from serving as a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters. “It's time that I get to spend away from school, focusing on making someone else's day just a little bit brighter.”

I cannot think of a better sentiment than that – serving with love and fueled by the financial resources and shared mission of United Way agencies makes our communities better. It also consistently makes “someone else’s day just a little bit brighter.” For me, focusing on activities that can positively change the lives of other people is why I get up every morning with a smile and a purpose.

MASON: Making someone else’s day a little bit brighter

The Hays Police Department is searching for information about a recent burglary attempt at Tractor Supply Co.,&nbsp;235 W. 48th.

"In the early morning hours of Feb. 21, at approximately 2:28 a.m. someone attempted to burglarize the Tractor Supply," said Police Chief Don Scheibler. 

While the attempt was unsuccessful, video was captured of the incident — and now the department is searching for the white male, shown in the video wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.

The video shows the individual pulling into the parking lot and getting out of the vehicle, Scheibler said.

He then said it appeared the suspect used a circular grinder to cut two locks off of the gate in order to gain access.

When the suspect moved the fence, however, an audible alarm was triggered and he fled the scene in his pickup.

"If anybody has any information, we ask them to call the Hays Police Department and request to speak to Master Police Officer Ryan Blecha or the on-duty supervisor."

Attempted burglary caught on camera; HPD seeks suspect

Sunday, Feb. 28 is the end of the month and also the end of the "Twice As Nice" fundraising campaign by Heartland Community Foundation (HCF).

Ellis, Rooks and Trego counties could each earn an additional $50,000 for charitable grants in the community through the gift matching campaign.

This month the Dane G. Hansen Foundation of Logan is matching all public gifts to each county’s Legacy Fund at the Heartland Community Foundation, up to $50,000 per fund, for a total of another $150,000.

During the past two years, the “Twice As Nice” campaign has raised more than $900,000 for the three Legacy Funds, which to date have granted $30,212 to charitable projects across the counties of Rooks, Trego and Ellis.

Sandy Jacobs, the current Hays mayor, recently retired as HCF's first&nbsp; - and only -&nbsp; executive director and was thanked in a special ceremony by current and past board members at the foundation's headquarters in downtown Hays.

"Without her, we couldn't have done any of this," said&nbsp;Hardy Howard, HCF board president and WaKeeney city administrator. "She's kept us on track. She's kept us focused." 

His joke about Jacobs' multi-colored emails drew a laugh from the crowd. 

"We're super-appreciative of Sandy and can't say enough about her."

In her honor, board members made a $3,600 donation to the HCF administrative fund, presented by Hardy.&nbsp;

"You can't give a greater gift than something like this which is going to continue on giving in our communities," Jacobs said with a choked voice.&nbsp;

"This organization is so special," she added. "I'm not going away."

The match month has an extra bonus, according to Sarah Meitner, the new HCF executive director.

"If we hit that $50,000 goal, the Hansen Foundation kicks in a bonus $20,000 per county to support our administrative fund and for the administrative fund and keep our foundation sustainable and growing," Meitner explained.

"The trust that Hansen has put into all the community foundations in northwest Kansas just goes to show the priceless value that they see in the long term growth of northwest Kansas and the generational growth."

&nbsp;This is the fourth year for the "Twice As Nice" match campaign. The Hansen Foundation has guaranteed a total five years of the program.&nbsp;

"So we have this year and next year where the match is on the table. After that, we don't know," Meitner said. "So it's really important we capture every dollar we can while they're offering it.&nbsp; &nbsp;

"To continue to grant at the level we are, we need to make sure that we are growing these funds to support our non-profits and our charitable projects."

The "Legacy Fund" in Ellis, Rooks and Trego counties is currently at almost half a million dollars in each county.&nbsp;

"When you can have a positive multi-generational impact on your communities with an organization like this, that is a rare thing," Howard said.&nbsp;

🎥 HCF 'Twice As Nice': 'Positive multi-generational impact on your communities'

HaysMed offers state-of-the-art hip replacement technology

The Hays USD 489 school approved a two-year extension of Superintendent Ron Wilson's contract at its meeting Monday night.&nbsp;

In addition, the contracts for other district-level administrators and building-level administrators were approved.&nbsp;

However, there was some disagreement among the board about how the business of the board should be conducted.

Board member Allen Park made a motion to move the board into executive session to further discuss the contracts, citing the personnel exemption to the Kansas Open Meetings Act.

Three of the four members of the board voted against the motion to move into a secret session, including Tammy Wellbrock, Lance Bickle and Mike Walker.

Wellbrock joined the meeting via Zoom.&nbsp;

"I do not see any reason to go into executive session," she said. "It just becomes a gossip session and micromanagement of Ron as superintendent."

The reporter for the Hays Post also objected to the board moving into executive session to discuss an action item on its agenda.

Board attorney Bill Jeter said the board had the right to move to an executive session to discuss non-elected personnel matters.

Kansas Press Association consulting attorney Max Kautsch said on Tuesday he agreed public boards have the right to move into executive session to discuss evaluations of individual personnel.

The board moved into an executive session for about 20 minutes. The board came back into public session, at which time the board voted 6-1 to renew all of the administrator contracts.

Park voted against the renewals, saying he opposed the motion specifically because of the superintendent's contract. He did not say why he was voting against the superintendent's contract renewal.

Wilson said via email Wednesday, “We have an outstanding group of administrators in this district who are very committed to supporting kids and staff in our schools and district. Great things are happening in the district in large part because of the strong leadership that is provided on a daily basis inside our district.”

Board member Nuchelle Chance said she hoped the district would pursue diversity in its upcoming hirings.&nbsp;

Two USD 489 principals will be resigning at the end of June — HHS Principal Martin Straub and O'Loughlin Elementary School Principal Vicki Gile.&nbsp;

"I hope the school district is really trying to recruit far and wide, as far as the state goes," Chance said. "I know there are state laws on licensing, but to expand and get young and fresh faces. When I see those openings, I hope we are casting a net to get diverse thought and character and fresh faces."

The following administrators' contracts were approved. Changing principal contracts to two-year contracts

The board also discussed an eventual move to two-year contracts for principals. The superintendent has a two-year contract, but principals have one-year contracts.

Board member Craig Pallister, a former Hays Middle School principal, said he supported the move as a recruiting tool.

Board member Bickle said he opposed two-year contracts.

"I think we have great people in this administration, and I think we do a great job," he said. "I think we build that trust, and I don't need a piece a paper to tell me that people are doing a good job."

The board did not vote on the change Monday night. The issue will likely come back to the board for a vote at a later date.

The board also passed a resolution to seek a lease agreement for the Roosevelt Elementary School HVAC project.

 </figure>By CRISTINA JANNEY Hays PostThe Hays USD 489 school approved a two-year extension of Superintendent Ron Wilson's contract at its meeting Monday night.&nbsp;In addition, the contracts for other district-level administrators and building-level administrators were approved.&nbsp;However, there was some disagreement among the board about how the business of the board should be conducted.Board member Allen Park made a motion to move the board into executive session to further discuss the contracts, citing the personnel exemption to the Kansas Open Meetings Act.Three of the four members of the board voted against the motion to move into a secret session, including Tammy Wellbrock, Lance Bickle and Mike Walker.Wellbrock joined the meeting via Zoom.&nbsp;"I do not see any reason to go into executive session," she said. "It just becomes a gossip session and micromanagement of Ron as superintendent."The reporter for the Hays Post also objected to the board moving into executive session to discuss an action item on its agenda.Board attorney Bill Jeter said the board had the right to move to an executive session to discuss non-elected personnel matters.Kansas Press Association consulting attorney Max Kautsch said on Tuesday he agreed public boards have the right to move into executive session to discuss evaluations of individual personnel.The board moved into an executive session for about 20 minutes. The board came back into public session, at which time the board voted 6-1 to renew all of the administrator contracts.Park voted against the renewals, saying he opposed the motion specifically because of the superintendent's contract. He did not say why he was voting against the superintendent's contract renewal.Wilson said via email Wednesday, “We have an outstanding group of administrators in this district who are very committed to supporting kids and staff in our schools and district. Great things are happening in the district in large part because of the strong leadership that is provided on a daily basis inside our district.”Board member Nuchelle Chance said she hoped the district would pursue diversity in its upcoming hirings.&nbsp;Two USD 489 principals will be resigning at the end of June — HHS Principal Martin Straub and O'Loughlin Elementary School Principal Vicki Gile.&nbsp;"I hope the school district is really trying to recruit far and wide, as far as the state goes," Chance said. "I know there are state laws on licensing, but to expand and get young and fresh faces. When I see those openings, I hope we are casting a net to get diverse thought and character and fresh faces."The following administrators' contracts were approved. The superintendent has a two-year contract, but principals have one-year contracts.Board member Craig Pallister, a former Hays Middle School principal, said he supported the move as a recruiting tool.Board member Bickle said he opposed two-year contracts."I think we have great people in this administration, and I think we do a great job," he said. "I think we build that trust, and I don't need a piece a paper to tell me that people are doing a good job."The board did not vote on the change Monday night. The issue will likely come back to the board for a vote at a later date.The board also passed a resolution to seek a lease agreement for the Roosevelt Elementary School HVAC project.

Superintendent contract renewed; Hays board at odds over transparency

COLBY — The annual Art on the Oasis art show is returning to Colby Community College March 5 through 7. The event, held in the Bedker Memorial Complex and&nbsp;the Cultural&nbsp;Arts Center gallery, features works by high school, amateur and professional artists from around the region.

The opening gala is from 6 to 9 p.m. at both venues on Friday, March 5, and continues Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.&nbsp;

"We'll have food, music, awards, and opportunities to purchase art," said organizer Rebel Mahieu. "We had more than 400 entries and five high schools participate last year and expect as many this year."

In addition to local entries, participating artists are from eastern Colorado, southern Nebraska, Hays, Great Bend, Phillipsburg, and Garden City.&nbsp;

The judge will be Fort Hays State University sculpture professor Tobias Flores.

"There will be a variety of pieces that include abstract and non-representational, paintings, drawings, sculpture, weaving, metal work, ceramics, photography, and mixed media," Mahieu said.

MANHATTAN — More than 1,415 students completed degree requirements from Kansas State University in fall 2020. The graduates are from 87 Kansas counties, 39 states and 32 countries. The university awarded 1,139 bachelor's degrees, 229 master's degrees, 58 doctorates and five associate degrees. Several students earned multiple degrees.&nbsp; For outstanding academic performance, 209 students earned graduation honors. Of those, 64 students graduated summa cum laude with a grade point average of 3.95 or above, 67 students graduated magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.85 to 3.949, and 78 students graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.75 to 3.849.

Ellis County students among KSU Fall 2020 graduates

I am deeply concerned about our foster care system in Kansas.&nbsp; I’ve met with foster parents in my district and they recounted the poor communication between agencies, the lack of respite care for foster parents and foster kids being returned to parents despite numerous positive drug tests.&nbsp; News reports and testimony to legislative committees have laid out an even bleaker picture of the foster care system in Kansas. There are stories on multiple placements (one child having 130 placements), children sleeping in offices overnight, children running away from placements with the state having no idea where a child was located, and foster care children aging into the corrections system. A 2019 survey found that 1 in 3 Kansas inmates had been in foster care.&nbsp; This breaks my heart – but I have some good news.&nbsp;

The House voted on House Bill 2115 on Thursday of this past week which came as a result of recommendations from the Legislature’s Special Committee on Foster Care Oversight. The bill establishes the Joint Committee on Child Welfare System Oversight.&nbsp; It makes sure eyes remain on the administration’s management of the system and on long-term improvements for children in foster care.&nbsp; They will be doing things like reviewing child welfare data and study how the programs and services impact the children.&nbsp; They will dive into how DCF, KDHE &amp; KDADS as they impact children.&nbsp; The House passed the bill 118-4 and it now goes to the Senate for consideration.

There is so much to be done to fix the foster care system, but this is the start to calling for accountability. &nbsp; I have met with foster parents here in Hays and the list of issues is long and frankly, very distressing.&nbsp; We have failed our most precious resource – our children.&nbsp; HB 2115 is just the beginning. &nbsp;

In mid-February, an arctic blast swept
across Kansas and the nation and gave America a
preview of what an “existential threat” looks like.
Not the kind of fear-mongering “12-years to the
end of the earth” threat by the likes of U.S.
Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and fed
to Americans by President Biden as he issues job-
killing executive orders.


The threat we saw in February took away people’s power, heat, and clean water. The
blame lies with those who irresponsibly push not-ready-for-primetime renewable energy, like
wind and solar power, to make up a greater share of our energy grids.


There is a lot of conflicting information about electricity blackouts across the nation.
The root cause of the blackouts in Kansas and across the nation is national and state policy that
has prioritized the adoption of unreliable wind/solar energy over reliable energy.


For the last decade-plus energy policy in Kansas and the U.S. has been focused on
mandating or subsidizing as much wind and solar as possible.


The focus on wind has come above all at the expense of coal, natural gas, and nuclear
which has the resiliency advantage of being able to store large quantities of fuel onsite.


Because intermittent wind and solar can always go near zero, as we saw in mid-
February, they don't replace the cost of reliable power plants, they add to the cost of reliable
power plants. This is why the more wind and solar grids are used, the higher their electricity
prices.


To lessen the price increases from unreliable wind/solar energy, governments try to get
away with as few reliable power plants online as they can. The expense and distraction of
accommodating unreliable wind/solar energy takes away money and focus from resiliency.


While we don't know yet what exactly caused certain natural gas and coal plants to go
down, we know with 100% certainty that natural gas and coal plants can easily run in far more
adverse conditions than what was experienced in mid-February. And we know with 100%
certainty that even if no wind turbines had frozen they would have been nearly useless during
large portions of the weather in mid-February.


To expose the foolishness of the idea that fossil fuels could not handle the cold
temperatures in Texas, it helps to look at facts. In Texas, a spike in demand during cold
temperatures led to devastating blackouts. In Alberta, Canada, a spike in demand during far
colder temperatures led to very little disruption. Why? Alberta has a reliable grid with 43%
coal and 49% natural gas.


If you are looking at the facts, the obvious lesson here is: stop subsidizing and
mandating unreliable wind/solar energy, which are often useless when you need them most--
and do a better job at managing reliable energy sources like coal, natural gas, and nuclear.


Instead of acknowledging the reality that
unreliable wind/solar energy can't keep us warm
or powered in the winter and that the "100%
renewable" direction is disastrous, advocates of
unreliable wind/solar energy are instead implying
that no source of electricity can be relied upon, so
no need to single out wind.


This is, of course, not correct. We know how to produce enough low-cost, reliable
electricity for every situation. You build reliable power plants, including those with on-site fuel
storage--such as coal and nuclear. You place a premium on reliability and resilience. That's it.


Several areas across the country, including Kansas, had an electricity crisis during bad
winter weather because they did not focus enough on building reliable power plants and
infrastructure. They were obsessed with getting as much unreliable wind/solar electricity as
possible. Let's all learn from this mistake.


Plans to subsidize wind/solar energy should change. Biden’s energy plan calls for nearly
100% solar and wind electricity by 2035! Everyone should be asking how the Biden plan would
have fared in mid-February.
